As a follow up to the post one year ago, Cleared Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 and Looking Forward to Final Level, I managed to clear CFA Level 3 as well thus completing the CFA! Again I was pretty busy preparing for the exams so you may have noticed that I didn’t post as much the last few months.
As stated in my previous post, CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is the ultimate credential for a finance professional. It is extremely tough to get and it covers a very wide range of topics within finance. I have put in many hours for both Level 2 and Level 3 and I am glad they have paid off.
Level 3 is different from level 2 in the sense that Level 2 is more focused on individual securities analysis while level 3 is more focused on macro economics and overall portfolio management. Having more than 50% of the materials dedicated to portfolio management, I understand better now that when it comes to growing your wealth in a controlled risk manner, portfolio allocation probably the most critical aspect.
Now that I have completed my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), I am feeling pretty good with my achievement and will probably take a much needed break for now before I decide what embark on next. For now, my clients will be able to benefit from my newly added credentials and knowledge. I have been contemplating on a writing a book for sometime now, but we will see.
For now I need to get back to regular posting again, apologies for the wait dear readers!
